Bubby's Story: DUMBO
Bubby’s Brooklyn will be serving Brunch on Saturday May 10th from 10am to 2.30pm. We will be closed Saturday evening for a private event after 2.30pm.
We will be also serving Brunch on Mother’s Day, May 11th from 10am to 4pm. We do not take reservations for our Brunches.
Bubby’s Pie Co., has been serving home cooking in Tribeca since 1990. The food is reflected in the homey atmosphere and service. Though New York City has changed a lot, Bubby’s has stayed pretty much the way it was.
Bubby’s is famous for brunch. Everything is made from scratch. We smoke our own salmon and make our own ice cream. And if we don’t make it, it’s because we can’t make it better than we can find. If there were a proper space for a real bread oven, Bubby’s would bake all the bread. Instead, fine bakeries, like Sullivan Street, Tomcat, and H&H provide our bread, as well as some small specialty bread bakeries.
Bubby’s DUMBO began in 2003, at the generous invitation of DUMBO’s reigning king, David Walentas. The neighborhood was well on it’s way to being completely revitalized, and one of the hottest neighborhoods in New York City.
The magnificent view of the city from Bubby’s is striking. Nestled right on the river between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, there is no view that parallels Bubby’s. There is nothing more relaxing than sipping a bloody mary watching tugboats and barges go careening upriver.
Bubby’s DUMBO is a much larger space than Tribeca, perfect for big events. The grand view, and the comfortable space, along with Bubby’s home cooking, and comfortable service, make for a thoroughly enjoyable time in Brooklyn.
Bubby’s DUMBO is a GREAT space to have a party. We are also open for Brunch most Saturdays and Sundays. We serve lunch and dinner Thursday through Sunday.
